At Industry Performing Arts, we deliver the highest standard of Classical Ballet training in Hornsby. Our program is grounded in the internationally respected R.A.D. (Royal Academy of Dance) method – renowned for its precise technique, clean lines, safe progression, and strong focus on musicality and expression. Through the structured R.A.D. syllabus, students develop excellent posture, turnout, coordination, and artistry, while learning refined, expressive movement and character dance. Our certified R.A.D. teachers undergo ongoing professional development to ensure every dancer receives exceptional, up-to-date training. We proudly offer annual R.A.D. Ballet Examinations for all ages, providing students with clear goals, motivation, and recognition for their hard work. In our latest Ballet Exams, more than 90% of students achieved Distinction and 20% earned High Distinction – an exceptional result that highlights the commitment and excellence of both our ballet faculty and students. Industry Performing Arts encourages dancers to grow through open classes, masterclasses, R.A.D. and external ballet competitions, helping them deepen their technique and passion for ballet. We are proud to have students accepted into the Australian Ballet ITP Program and graduates dancing with professional companies worldwide. Hip Hop 

Hip Hop Dance is a high-energy, street-inspired style known for its strong rhythms, musicality, and expressive movement. Rooted in urban culture, Hip Hop blends grooves, isolations, freestyle, and dynamic choreography influenced by breaking, popping, and locking. This exciting style builds confidence, coordination, and creativity, making it one of the most popular dance styles for children, teens, and adults. Perfect for beginners to advanced dancers, Hip Hop at Industry Performing Arts offers an engaging and empowering way to develop skill, fitness, and individuality.

Acrobatics

Acrobatics is a strength-based, highly athletic style that combines flexibility, balance, tumbling, and controlled acrobatic skills with dance technique. Drawing from gymnastics, contortion, and performance artistry, Acro teaches students how to safely execute tricks such as handstands, cartwheels, walkovers, aerials, and more – all while building core strength, body awareness, and confidence. At Industry Performing Arts, Hornsby, Acro training follows safe, progressive methods to help dancers of all ages develop strong technique, impressive skills, and dynamic performance quality.

Tap 

Tap Dance is a rhythmic, percussive dance style where dancers use their feet like instruments to create exciting, syncopated sounds. Combining musicality, coordination, and precision, Tap develops a strong sense of timing, rhythm, and artistry. Students learn a mix of traditional tap technique and modern styles, building clear sounds, fast footwork, and dynamic performance skills. At Industry Performing Arts, Hornsby, Tap classes are engaging, energetic, and suitable for all ages – perfect for dancers wanting to improve musical awareness, confidence, and stage presence.

Musical Theatre

Musical Theatre is a vibrant, storytelling-driven style that combines dance, acting, and singing to create dynamic stage performances. Inspired by Broadway and West End productions, Musical Theatre teaches students how to express character, emotion, and narrative through movement and performance. Classes focus on jazz technique, character work, vocal expression, and theatrical choreography, helping dancers build confidence, versatility, and stage presence. At Industry Performing Arts, Hornsby – Musical Theatre is an inspiring and engaging class for students of all ages who want to develop their performance skills and shine on stage.

Pilates 

Pilates is a low-impact, strength-based conditioning method designed to improve core stability, posture, flexibility, and full-body alignment. Using controlled movements and mindful breathing, Pilates enhances body awareness, balance, and muscular endurance – making it an ideal cross-training practice for dancers and non-dancers alike. At Industry Performing Arts, Hornsby, Pilates classes support injury prevention, strength development, and overall wellbeing, helping students build a strong, functional foundation for both dance and everyday movement.

Pre Pointe and Pointe Conditioning 

Pre-Pointe Class is a 30-minute session designed for Grade 4, Grade 5, and Intermediate Foundation Ballet students preparing for the exciting journey of pointe work. This class focuses on building the essential strength, flexibility, alignment, balance, and core stability required for a safe and successful transition to pointe shoes. At Industry Performing Arts, we prioritise safe dance practices, ensuring our students develop strong, sustainable technique that supports a long, injury-free dance career while laying the foundation for future ballet success.

Pointe Conditioning is a 30-minute class for students already on pointe, focusing on strengthening and maintaining the core, feet, and alignment needed for advanced pointe work. This class supports students in managing the increasing demands of their syllabus exercises while reinforcing strong foundational technique. Through targeted conditioning, dancers build endurance, stability, and control, ensuring they perform pointe work safely and with confidence.

Open Ballet Class

Open Ballet Class offers dancers of all levels the chance to explore fresh ballet exercises, including barre work, port de bras, adage, and allegro. Unlike syllabus classes, this class focuses on refining technique, building strength, enhancing artistry, and developing the ability to learn new combinations quickly. Open to students beyond regular syllabus training, it’s the perfect environment to improve alignment, turnout, and performance quality while boosting confidence – whether preparing for exams, performances, competitions, or simply for the love of dance.

Jazz

Jazz Dance is a high-energy, expressive style that blends sharp, dynamic movements with fluidity, rhythm, and performance flair. Rooted in theatrical and contemporary dance, Jazz develops strength, flexibility, musicality, and confidence while encouraging individuality and creative expression.
